Board and Batton Construction

Definition of Board and Batton Construction:
Board and Batton construction is most common with siding. It is the process of siding by placing boards edge to edge and covering the seams with a narrow strip of wood (batton). This method allow for the boards to expand and contract while the battons maintain a weather tight seal.
