Bench Planes

Definition of Bench Planes:
Bench planes are typically used for furniture making and consist of a flat table between 10" and 24" long. The longer the plane the flatter a surface will be as a result of using it. Like all other hand planes there is a blade that protrudes from the bottom and shaves a thin strip of wood from a piece of stock.
