890 Series Porter Cable Routers

The new 890 series Porter Cable Routers are the most versatile router that Porter-Cable has put out yet. Working just as well in a router table as it does being used by hand the 890 series can perform any of the routing jobs that you need it to.

All of the 890 series Porter-Cable Router are equipped with a 2-1/4 HP, 12 amp soft start motor. Soft start motors reduce the spike of current when the motor is turned on. THis will prolong the life of the motor.

The 890 series operates at ranges from 10000 RPM to 24000 RPM. This means that it will be able to handle a wide range of operating conditions. The larger the bit you are using the more wood it removes and the slower the router bit should turn.

Model #7518

The Model #7518 Porter Cable Router has a 3-1/4 HP, 15 amp motor with electronic 5 speed control that allows it to operate at 10000, 13000, 16000, 19000 and 21000 RPM. The 7539 model carries the same features as the model 7528 except it has the plunge feature.

Model #8529

The model #8529 Porter-Cable Router is designed for professional use. Equipped with a heavy duty 2 HP, 12 amp motor this router excels at both hand held use and being mounted into a router table. The plunge feature allow fine adjustments up to 2-1/2" deep. The model #8529 operates using a dial to adjust the speed of the motor from 10000 RPM to 23000 RPM.
