| Bocote is mostly found
in semi-dry regions with below average rainfall. The
heartwood is usually a rusty brown color with streaks
or waves through it. The sapwood on the other hand
can be a slight gray or yellow.
Bocote is easy to work with using both power and hand
tools. This is why it is used for fine furniture and
other high end custom wood work. Bocote sands well
and has a smooth surface that takes finish really good.
